Month of Ice

Ahh… This is gonna be a cold month. However thankfully the people of this city has grown immune to such sudden weather changes. Nevertheless the people's appetite for fish is still growing strong. Wonder how come people don't get sick of eating fish. I know I will after a while! :o

Seems like the weather during the past few months isn't getting any better. Pfft. Must be due to global warming!!

Update:

And another month with dull boring moderate weather.. When will there be plenty of sunshine? It's so dark and gloomy all the time that it's just so depressing to look outside. Boooooring……~

Anyhow, looks like there was a large surplus of fish in the market this month. Prices were ridiculously cheap. Good for the customers!

Month of Mist

Here comes the holiday season once again. As usual, most families tend to go on holidays overseas instead of remaining around in the city. This includes the fishermen who are usually hard at work. Nevertheless, there are still fishes out there, so go catch them tigers! :D

Next instructions due by 11pm.

Random thoughts:

This time, I won't be as silly as before to hang up the fishes in my office only to let them rot. I'll probably have it cooked for dinner or something. I'm sure a fish as rare as that would taste delicious :D Curry Chilli Xiphias!!

Note: I think I failed to mention that this game lasts for 20 months. Anyhow if the majority of you think this is too long, I can shorten it And also, if you notice anything that is weird or wrong, please let me know. And any suggestions are welcome :D

Update:

Weather is so so again. Seems like the fishermen aren't coming back home too happy. Better luck next month! Regardless, still seems like the number of boats are getting more each month. Hope they don't block out the beautiful view that I get every morning.

Certain issues

To calculate your assets at any time,

Total assets = current money + (total number of boats * salvage value)

Salvage value of each boat is $50

You will be declared bankrupt if your total assets is in the negative for 2 months in a row.

You can spend more than you currently have at hand.

Example, if you have 2500 at hand, and you send 15 boats to deep sea.

Current money = 2500 – (15*250) = -1250

Which means you owe the bank $1250. Then this will incur a bank interest of 15%, which means you will need to pay an additional $188.

Your current money will now be $ -1438.

Then you buy 1 new boat, so your total money will be $ - 1738.

When constructing new boats, your boats can only be used the next month. However trading boats will enable you to use it in the same month.

Boats CANNOT be destroyed J

Hope that clears up some questions.

Month of Stone

There seems to be nothing eventful happening this month. Just go about your daily businesses everyone :D

Seems like there is no news of any Xiphias Gladius out there yet. Considering how much more people there are fishing, it's surprising no one has caught it yet. Anyhow, good luck finding it!

Note: Aiming for 2 months today. First set of instructions due by 5pm and next by 11pm.

Update:

Looks like I spoke too soon!

This month the rare fish Xiphias Gladius (Named by one of the previous companies from last year) has been caught! Surprisingly enough, not one, but TWO of them has been caught.

Congratulations to Ilovechocolate and Chish and Fips Supplier
for being the first two to have caught this remarkable fish. They both get a prize money of $2000 each. Wish the rest of you luck to catch more of them There are always collectors out there who would pay a huge sum of money to have that fish.

Month of Flare

After an eventful year, we shall welcome this New Year with more companies coming to the aid of this city! Fishing is the new thing in this city. Let's make everyone proud by fishing till you drop! Of course everyone should also take note of what happens each month by checking out this blog regularly. Events or certain functions may be happening on certain months which may affect the economy of the city with respect to the fish. So good luck everyone!

First month of Flare, everything goes about normally. Fish fish fish!~

NOTE: Instructions due by 11pm. Latest by midnight.

Things seemed to be fine this month. The shipyards were real busy trying to get all the orders of new boats done by next month. We're probably going to be seeing more ships out in the sea than we ever did before. The weather was pretty bad this month. Most fishermen still seemed pleased with their catch nevertheless. Better something than nothing!

Meanwhile, I had conducted a population census at the beginning of the year. There seems to be currently 4813 people currently inhabiting this city. Looks like our city is getting larger and larger!
