CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL!!!

It is time to announce the winner for this competition. Are you ready?

*DRUMMMMMROOOLLLLLLLLL*

And the winner issssssssssss………………………. FISHLOVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!! With a total asset of $16590. This is a surprising turn of events!! Let's give them a round of applause!!

Here are the runner-ups for this competition:

2. STUPID with a total asset of $16435!! This is not bad at all!!

3. FISH WHY NOT with a total asset of $15595!!

4. ABC123 with a total asset of $14387!!

5. TUNG AND FISHIES with a total asset of $14312!!

6. DUDE with a total asset of $11456!!

The scores were not very far apart so there is no need to be sad. Great job to everyone who participated. You have definitely made Fishville a better place for the people.

The mayor is all smiles now except for his burnt hand. Funny story but hey, let's not get carried away.

Hope to see you all again next year!!

Regarding next week’s game

If you guys want to end the game by today and get the results by today, send in your instructions earlier J

So.. please vote if you still want to play or not next week.

IF there is a total of less than 5 votes, the game won't continue.

If it's on, we're likely to be using the same version but the starting population will be a continuation from the previous year. The game period will be changed to 20 months, but if you think you won't have time to play as it's gonna be Easter holidays, it'll remain at 10.

And also please leave some comments on which stuff to change~

Some changes which will be implemented next time:

  • Changing the price graph. Highest at 45 and lowest at 15. The graph is also less steep at the start.
  • Buying a new boat will cost 800 instead of 300.
  • Deep sea and coastal expenditures will be reduced to 200 and 100.
  • The demand will only fluctuate between 95 and 105% instead of 80 and 120%.

And from what Chee Hwa suggested, perhaps u can build ur own restaurants as well

Month of Water

Alas, we have come to an end of an eventful year. This is the month where we all come together to celebrate the end of the year. We are very excited to usher in the New Year. There will be a lot of celebration and fireworks.

And guess what the specialty dish for this celebration is?

It's Sweet and Sour Fishhhhhhh.. This fish is a must have for this lovely celebration that will go on for the whole month. Imagine how much fish we will be eating all month.

PS: look out for the dancing mayor this month. Offer him a beer, alright?

And so the game has ended. The mayor hopes that everyone enjoyed themselves throughout the whole year. He hopes to see you all again soon. It was a fun and eventful celebration. The month of Water saw a record-breaking sale of fishes of 2062 fishes.

Wow!! That's a lot of fishes used for this special dish eh?

Month of Moon

This is the month where the moon shines like a disco ball every fortnight. Don't ask me why! The moon happens to love Fishville? Anyway, this calls for a celebration. Every fortnight, there will be an outdoor party at the park where the people dance the night away. This includes the mayor of course. He secretly thinks the moon is awesome though he wouldn't dare admit it to anyone else for fear of people thinking he is gay!

But wait; there is a bonus for the companies this month. The company with the most money in the bank will earn an additional 10% interest! Good luck

We have a winner for this month!!!

The company who has the most money is……………..

STUPIDDDDDDDDD!! As predicted by the mayor. Let us all give our hearty congratulations to stupid. However, this was a very close completion for all the companies. Nevertheless, work hard for your final month.

The company Stupid had $11452 in the bank whereas the runner-up company had $11004.

Month of Wind

Please take the poll on the top left corner :D

Alas this lovely month has arrived. The big blue skies, the gorgeous sun and soothing breeze are probably going to make fishing easier for the people.

The mayor predicts there is going to be a surplus of fishes coming in.

Random thoughts:

The mayor is obsessed with his Honeywell rocket!! Her favorite awesome monkey is becoming his target for his current obsession. Poor secretary have to do all the work this time.

As predicted, a lot of fishes were caught. The mayor has seen massive fish sales around the market. They were sold at outrageously cheap prices. You know what that means don't you?

Due to the cloudless weather and limited supplies of sun lotion, most of the people chose to stay at home. The mayor also noticed that one of the companies chose to keep his ships at bay rather than send them out to catch fish which would otherwise be sold at a much lower price than what people would pay to rent the boats for leisure.

Month of Earth

Here comes the month of Earth. Coincidentally, this is the month where most people take a month off from eating fish. Vegetarian is the way to go this month.

Random thoughts:

So.. like vegetarian month? Ugh.. I guess I'll be one of those exceptional ones that will still eat fish.

Secretary seems to be sick and will be on leave. Hope she recovers soon~

For those who watch how I met your mother…

Cook poo, cook poo, cook poo~~

The price of the fishes was really low for this month. The mayor is not very happy with this. However it can't be helped as most people are not having fish as their daily meal this month. It seems like most companies suffered big blows to their income.

Month of Star

This is a beautiful month for Fishville. Like the name of the month, the night skies will be filled with stars. There might even be a meteor shower at the end of the month. This only occurs once every ten years.

So don't miss this great opportunity to enjoy the evening with your family or loved ones.

The mayor even bought a telescope just for this special occasion.

On a lighter note, there will be a competition held this month where the company with the most assets will win three new boats. The company and its total assets will be revealed

So…… guess who won?

*DRUM ROLL~~~~*

The star COMPANY is STUPID!!

Guess stupid isn't so stupid after all.

Company Stupid has a total asset of 9539. Apparently it was quite a close competition. The company trailing just behind Stupid is only away by about $500. Try harder next time ;)

Random thoughts:

It seems like the meteor shower may have granted some of the people's wishes. Most of the company conditions have improved. Good luck! There is still 4 months to go.

Month of Sun edited.

Apparently, the mayor has made a mistake! He fed the secretary wrong information! Poor secretary. She almost had a panic attack when the mayor told her there was a mistake =( Anyhow, the competition will be held next month.

On another note, we found the company who contributed the most fishes to the neighboring city. And so the mayor came up with a great idea! He decided to reward the company with an extra 10% added to his profit.

Guess which company had such luck?

*DRUM ROLLLLLLLL*

FISH WHY NOT!!! This company caught a total of 235 fishes. Isn't that awesome?

Something the rest of you can try. lol

Dear Mayor,

The company was overwhelmed with disappointment with the returns of fishviles returns for the month of mist. the company expects a growth in business in the months to come and is optimistic in monopolizing the fishing trade in Fishvile. Attached with this electronic mail is the companies upcoming plans for the month of ice. A personal word of advice is to have a nice cup of hot chocolate and wear extra thick clothings, a mayor needs to be fit and healthy. Wouldn't want to catch a chill during the cold season ya..

Month of Sun

In the month of sun, things are going to be more happening for the fishermen. This is the time of the month where our neighboring cities are begging for our fishes. So we as the nice citizens we are are going to go fishing for our lovely beggars.

So do the mayor proud, young fishermen!

By the way, this month we are rewarding three new boats to the company with the highest assets.

Sorry! Its supposed to be next month where the company with the highest assets wins the 3 new boats.

;)

PS: Don't kill all the fishes ok? Think of nemo and dory! *just keep swimming swimming swimming..*

Random Thoughts:

According to my encyclopedia, this happens to be the dolphin season. Don't forget to bring your waterproof kickass cameras. My secretary has finally arrived today. YAPPERSSSSSS!!

Month of Ice

Here comes the month of Ice. Though it's winter time, we don't get snow in this part of the world so it's still possible to go out to fish. I think last month was a pretty gloomy month. Streets seemed empty, fishermen came back looking not too happy. Hope they'll work harder this month to make up for it!

Random thoughts:

I think putting up that rare fish as a trophy in my office isn't such a good idea after all. It's starting to stink up. Silly me forgetting that live things rot when they die =.= Maybe I should replace it with a replica.

Things did not go quite smoothly for most of the fishermen this month. However, there seems to be an increasing number of ships in the sea. Perhaps their catch would be more fruitful next month.

Month of Mist

Here comes the month of Mist. People just love to go on holidays this month. Why? I guess it's cause the kids don't have school! Well, that and the occasional misty conditions out at sea that just makes fishing a little harder. Lets hope things get better next month.

Random thoughts:

Mayor was really pleased to see that rare fish brought to him. It was sparkling blue under the sunlight with a nose so sharp it could cut through wood! Surprisingly it didn't spoil the fisherman's nets. Up it goes on display in the mayor's office!

The mayor noticed that there were some boats left in harbor. Some people took this opportunity to hop on and take a ride out to sea. I too have never been out to sea yet. Maybe it's about time I do it too.

Month of Stone

Fishermen continue fishing as usual. Nothing in particular happened that was worth mentioning….

However, the mayor hopes that he will one day find the time to go out to sea and experience hands on what a fisherman does.

Congratulations to the company Stupid for being the first to be able to bring us back a rare fish. Though it is dead, it does however look magnificent! We're sure it would taste just as good too. Stupid will be presented with a prize gift of $2000! Congratulations~

Brief History and Introduction of Fishville

In the city of Oilsville with an estimation of four thousand people, the citizens here led a good life. This is due to the great oil supply available in Oilsville and so every citizen has a proper job to deal with the oil supply. Unfortunately, the oil supply decreased year by year without the people realising it until one day there was only enough oil to fill up one barrel. The mayor realise that this would cause a major economy crisis for his people and tried to figure out a solution. Fishing came into his mind. The citizens agreed that this might be a great idea to save their city. The mayor then renamed the city, the city of Fishville.

It was a hard life for the people of Fishville in the beginning as the people had to learn how to fish, cope with the unpredictable weather situation as well as supply enough fish to the people. As time went by, the people have adjusted to their new careers and so the traditions also changed. The mayor observed and noted a few of the following changes. In the month of Flare and Stone, people fish as usual on a daily basis. However, in the month of Mist, it is the holiday season for Fishville, and so most of the citizens of Fishville go on holidays with their families. In the month of Ice, people resume to fishing on a daily basis after a good month of holiday.

Sun is the month where a large portion of the fish supply is exported to another city where it lacks fishes for the people. Normal procedures resume in the month of Star. In the month of Earth, it is the season where most of the people of Fishville become vegetarians for the month as the people want to take a break from eating fish which is so plentiful throughout the year. There is plenty of sun and clear blue skies in the month of Wind.

In the month of Moon, people resume fishing on a daily basis. On the last month, Water, more fishes are exported to the neighbouring cities. It is also the month where Fishville have their yearly celebration to welcome the New Year. Throughout the year, when there are boats available in the harbor, sometimes people tend to rent the boats for leisure purposes. Sometimes, fishermen speak of very rare fishes that they catch while out at sea. These fishes are worth far more than the usual .This happens more often when they venture further out in the sea.

The mayor hopes that fishing will continue to be sustainable for the city and help the city grow even more.

Fish or not?

Information on the "Fish or not?" game will be posted up here J happy playinggg~~
