Brief History and Introduction of Fishville

In the city of Oilsville with an estimation of four thousand people, the citizens here led a good life. This is due to the great oil supply available in Oilsville and so every citizen has a proper job to deal with the oil supply. Unfortunately, the oil supply decreased year by year without the people realising it until one day there was only enough oil to fill up one barrel. The mayor realise that this would cause a major economy crisis for his people and tried to figure out a solution. Fishing came into his mind. The citizens agreed that this might be a great idea to save their city. The mayor then renamed the city, the city of Fishville.

It was a hard life for the people of Fishville in the beginning as the people had to learn how to fish, cope with the unpredictable weather situation as well as supply enough fish to the people. As time went by, the people have adjusted to their new careers and so the traditions also changed. The mayor observed and noted a few of the following changes. In the month of Flare and Stone, people fish as usual on a daily basis. However, in the month of Mist, it is the holiday season for Fishville, and so most of the citizens of Fishville go on holidays with their families. In the month of Ice, people resume to fishing on a daily basis after a good month of holiday.

Sun is the month where a large portion of the fish supply is exported to another city where it lacks fishes for the people. Normal procedures resume in the month of Star. In the month of Earth, it is the season where most of the people of Fishville become vegetarians for the month as the people want to take a break from eating fish which is so plentiful throughout the year. There is plenty of sun and clear blue skies in the month of Wind.

In the month of Moon, people resume fishing on a daily basis. On the last month, Water, more fishes are exported to the neighbouring cities. It is also the month where Fishville have their yearly celebration to welcome the New Year. Throughout the year, when there are boats available in the harbor, sometimes people tend to rent the boats for leisure purposes. Sometimes, fishermen speak of very rare fishes that they catch while out at sea. These fishes are worth far more than the usual .This happens more often when they venture further out in the sea.

The mayor hopes that fishing will continue to be sustainable for the city and help the city grow even more.
